Avaya Communication Manager Basic Administration
This course provides a general introduction to Avaya Communication Manager. Delegates will be given a comprehensive overview of the system and will also gain practical experience of administering the CM server to do basic adds, moves and changes.

Note | This course must take place after a cutover and the system must be signed off by the end client. |

- Understand differences between Emulation and GEDI Interface
- Understand the Dial Plan
- Administer Feature Access Codes
- Understand the various voice terminals
- Administer Stations including Analogue, Digital, IP and Attendant Consoles
- Understand Port Configuration
- Understand differences between Analogue and Digital port configuration
- Create and enable new extensions
- Understand IP Extension Form
- Add an IP Softphone/One X Communicator
- Understand features available and assign these to extensions
- Administer pick up groups and enhanced call pickup
- Create paging groups
- Administer Team Buttons, Bridged Appearances and Busy Indicators
- Administer Post Messages
- Administer Abbreviated Dialling – System and Enhanced
- Administer Cover Paths, Coverage Answer Groups, Remote Coverage and Time of Day Coverage
- Create hunt groups
- Understand COR, basic toll analysis and COS permissions
